Trinket and Lily herself need closure on the death of Lily's mother but an essential ingredient for Lily's new potion has been stolen. Meanwhile Lily also needs to find The Master of Magic to warn him of the dire plans of The Faction. But how can you find someone so powerful and hidden?So many things happen and we get to see new area's where magic rules and Lily discovers new things about her heritage and her mother. And new threats arise of course.Another engrossing read. I think this series is my favorite of Gina LaManna at this time (even when I love all her series). I love the magic world and the characters!
I love this series and the Island Gina LaManna has created! Wonderful characters, lots of action, mystery, romance, a female protagonist who keeps growing and discovering what she can do! I love the visits to other magical places; I think it opens up a lot of possibilities for the series. My only complaint is the mention of a baby! Why give the young heroine a child? There is so much to explore with this series and none of it needs to be done while changing diapers or worrying about the safety of a child! There is plenty of time for Lily and Cannon - they don't need to have a child any time soon! Having a child is the book equivalent of jumping the shark!
Another fabulous to read mixology book in this series. I love each one even more than the last. I am not normally a magic book lover but this series is fun, full of excitement and mystery, romance and great characters. I am ready for number next. It is actually hard to start another book by a different author right away because the words come alive so much in this series, it rolls around in my head for a long time. Read I must, but I had to telyl ou all that these books are awesome
A very exciting, emotional, roller coaster for Mixologist Lily Locke & BF Ranger X. The threat from The Faction is ramping up. Strange things are happening all over the Isle. Lily’s Aunt Trinket is putting pressure on her regarding the death of Lily’s mother. Lily doesn’t know who to trust. This was definitely a hold your breath, white knuckle ride. While one threat is gone another one of greater consequence looms in the future. I can’t wait to see what the future brings for Lily & Ranger X.
Every new addition to this series is better than the last! Ms. LaManna is such a creative writer. Her imagination amazes me. Her descriptions of the settings make you feel like you are there. Her characters are people that you could care about in real life. Her storylines are so involved and interesting that you can’t put the book down. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes “witchy†stories, good clean mysteries and surprise endings!
I absolutely love this series. Magic, romance, great characters and laugh out loud moments keep me coming back for more. Each story digs deeper into the crazy life of Lily, her cousins, her aunts and lets not forget her grandma! Highly recommend if your looking for a great fun read that sucks you right into the story!
Very enjoyable book. However, I did take off a star because it is VERY distracting when the author refers to the “salty†air of the Isle. I’ve lived on the Great Lakes all of my life and know they are fresh water, not salt water. That “salty†air would have to be coming clear from the Atlantic Ocean.
Just gets better. This series is such a fun read! It was a rainy Saturday today, I started the book this morning and basically read it all day to conclusion. Once you start, you can’t stop. I really liked the inclusion of the gods in this one and the description of new places was really great. If you want to have some fun and a good read, look no further.
