Robert Elliott is Professor of Counselling at the University of Strathclyde, UK, and Emeritus Professor of Psychology at the University of Toledo, USA. Perfect for providing the essentials of clinical research and program evaluation to accompany other texts and sources (or as an overview). Written in clear language with excellent relevance to the clinical and counseling fields in psychology. Captures the nuances in measurement in mental health as opposed to non-clinical experimental fields well. Recommended for those who want relevant information for outcome measurement and program review in one resource.

I had to purchase this book for a research class I am taking. I use the book to find psychological terms and concepts I should know, and then I use the Internet to research those words. Any random explanation on the Internet is better than the explanations in this book. One of the very worst books I have ever had to read for a class. Unless you are required to use this book, do not waste your money on it.

This book is very poorly written and edited. There is some useful information, but the quality of the writing is disturbingly poor.

Not much going on here real basic book. Information isnt in depth enough on some topics. Plus side? Short chapters
