This devotional was not at all what I was expecting. Honestly, I found it rather annoying lol. I was looking for a devotional that focused on the internal and this book focuses more on the external. I feel like it's more about Donna Partow's philosophies on how a woman should live her life rather than any scripture based truths. Some parts even come off a little on the shallow side. I mean if you can stay one size your whole life and buy expensive clothes in (only) your "core color", great! But that's just not a realistic or appealing idea to every woman. It doesn't take into account a woman's individuality. God did not make us to be cookie cutters. This reads more like a self help book than a devotional. And if that's what you're looking for, you may like it. There are snippets of good advice here and there, but overall, just not for me.
This book starts out great. It begins firmly rooted in scripture. I loved this book the first several days. However, towards the middle of the book she gets very offtrack and opinionated. She talks about how women need to find their color and only wear that color, many “organization tipsâ€, how you should weigh a certain weight, how you should eat and drink only water and vegetables for 10 days, how women can earn extra income selling Mary Kay and working from home, to purchase rental properties and investments. It felt more like I was reading her personal opinions with some scripture she tried to make support her opinions. I do not recommend this book.
The content of this book is exceptional! It really is life changing! I gave a 4 star because pages 1-10 fell apart after only a few days! The book says to carry it around with you everywhere you go for the next 90 days so I’d expect it to be a better quality grade book.
Although I haven't finished my study yet, I am enjoying it once I got past the first hurdle of listing unique qualities I have. I'm not good with affirmation of self, so that was a hard one for me. I do like very much where this study is going thus far. I really like the TAG=Time Alone with God information.I would definitely recommend it.
Every woman should do this study and discover your full potential as a woman of God. Don't rush through it, but meditate your way through it, so that it becomes a part of you, and you will love the New You.
This is a great devotional! I really enjoyed the process suggested in the book. It is not just a devotion you read and are done for the day; it has instructions to get the most out of your time with the Lord. I will definitely go back to repeat my experience in the future!
We just started as a group study with 3 or 4 women from all walks of life , from all over the world.now we have griwn already in 5 days to 11 or 12 i think ,and this book as made us really look into us ,to be the woman God wanted is to be,right.Right. love and understand and put otbets need before us znd alsi believe se are prieceless in His eyes. So ,we claim it and are grosing in it tbank you God Bless u.
This has been a life changing journey for me. This journey has helped me see how much the devil has been distracting, delaying, & interfering, in areas I didn't even think about, with the plans God has for my life! I thought it would be overwhelming but I was surprised at how much I was already doing. We are all Proverbs 31 Women in the making. Thank you Donna for being obedient to write this book & sharing your experiences.
